FIGURES AND MORE EXCLUSIVE!!
TOY FAIR 2010: MEZCO
Once again this year, we visit one of our favorite companies: Mezco. Best known for their horror figures and their line of Living Dead Dolls, Mezco also has impressive pop culture licenses to report on, as well as two of the hottest Movie properties of the year. Here’s what Mezco has in store for this year.
We’ll start with Mezco’s line of vinyl collectible figures: Mezits. This year will see the following new 6″ Mezits: Freddy Krueger (Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 (April 2010)), Jigsaw Puppet (SAW (2010)), Hellboy and Johann Krauss (Hellboy II: The Golden Army (June 2010)), Dracula and Frankenstein (Monsters (2010)), Dr. Manhattan and Rorschach (Watchmen (June 2010)), Perseus (Clash of the Titans (March 2010)) and Beetlejuice (2010). In addition, you will see 2″ Mezits for many of the above lines.

Next up, another of the lines Mezco is famous for: Living Dead Dolls. This year will see licensed Living Dead Dolls based on characters from Beetlejuice, SAW and A Nightmare on Elm Street (Classic and 2010 versions) In addition to the single doll, fans can look forward to a Beetlejuice & Lydia 2 pack. They will be dressed in the wedding clothes from the end of the film. Also, there will be a 19th series of non-licensed dolls. The theme for this series is Children of the Night. There will also be a 7th series of Mini dolls. Also a special Living Dead Dolls Storybook gift set has been created, consisting of a hardcover book and 4 dolls. The theme for this set is Alice in Wonderland. The dolls represent the characters Alice, The White Rabbit, The Mad Hatter and The Red Queen.

Mezco also produces licensed action figures. On the heels of it’s successful line based on The Wolfman, Mezco is announcing a 9″ “stylized” Wolfman figure. They are also announcing three new figures of Michael Myers, adding to their Halloween 2 line: a 9″ stylized, a 12″ Deluxe figure and a Deluxe Plush. They were also showing off new figures in the Family Guy and Little Big Planet lines. For Family Guy, they were showing Series 2, which consists of: Cleveland, Bedtime Stewie and Millionaire Peter. Also, you can expect to see a box set of mini-figures of the entire Griffin Family. Mezco was also showing three new figures in their LittleBIGPlanet line: Sackboy, Marvin and Sky.

Finally, Mezco had two huge licenses to announce at Toy Fair. Two of the most anticipated comic movies of the year: the movie based on the legendary hero Green Hornet and indie-comic smash Kick-Ass. There will Mexits, 12 and 7 inch figures plus other collectibles for both properties. Unfortunately, no photographs were allowed of the product at Toy Fair, so we’ll have to wait till they release the images to show them to you. But, take it from me, they look awesome.
That does it for Mezco.
Toy Fair coverage continues with another new company: Earloomz.
