Toy Fair previews continue with the #1 toy company in the world, Mattel. Though Mattel is responsible for a ton of different items on toy shelves, our coverage will be focusing more on the boy’s and collector’s segment of Mattel’s business, which encompasses WWE , DC Comics, Masters of The Universe Classics and the MattyCollector segments, among others. I am excited to see, among other things, Sting’s first WWE Mattel figure, and hopefully some new products in the Classic Batman TV Show line. I am also hopeful that there will be product from Batman vs. Superman, though it may be early yet. I am also interested to see, in the personnel dept., who will be taking the reins from Scott Neitlich, as he has departed for Jakks Pacific. (More info on that here)
But the big question mark for Mattel is the partnership with Google that has been announced. I have not been invited to the event they are holding, but I will be watching online to see what is revealed. All I can say is: Remember View-Master?
Join as we kick off our Day 2 Toy Fair Coverage with Mattel, on Sunday, February 15th
