Synopsis: There have been many ways to invade the Earth, and the Doctor has seen them all. Or so he always thought – and then the human races wakes up one morning and discovers the world has been overrun by… small black cubes. Which then proceed to… do nothing at all. A plan is afoot, humanity is endangered – by by what and how and, above all, when? For the first time in his world-saving career the Doctor has to call upon the least of his virtues: patience. And the Ponds face something possibly more terrifying than any world-ending apocalypse – the Doctor is moving in!
Chris Chibnall tries to follow up the massive adventure Dinosaurs on a Spaceship with what is being described as a most unusual episode. Not much is known about it, and the clips released are very ambiguous. It features the return of Mark Williams as Rory’s father Brian, and the return of UNIT, who have not been seen in Doctor Who  since the 10th Doctor adventure Planet of the Dead, though they appeared in the Sarah Jane Adventures’ episode The Death of the Doctor, featuring Matt Smith.
The episode is said to be primarily from Amy and Rory’s point-of-view, and will detail the impact the Doctor has had on their lives. It is the penultimate episode before Amy and Rory’s swansong in next week’s episode The Angels Take Manhattan.
