NECA continues it’s standard M.O. of producing high quality figures based on cult classic and pop-culture properties. This year brings the customary mix of new and familiar properties. Here’s what NECA has in store for you.
Bioshock – NECA continues their line based on one of the most successful video game franchises in recent memory. This year will see the release of the Splicer line in the Summer, in addition to the Big Daddy Bouncer w/LEd lights. And, to start the excitement now, NECA has announced that they will be doing a line in 2012 to support the upcoming video game Bioshock: Infinite. If these figures come out anything like the previous ones, they should be spectacular.

Duke Nukem – A collector’s figure with 25 points of articulation is due for release in April 2011. The only question seems to be which will come out first, the figure or the game? Or, will we ever see either one?

Gears of War – NECA showed off some more amazing Gears of War 2 figures, while also debuting the jaw-dropping prototypes for the first Gears of War 3 figures.

Gremlins: NECA has signed a license to return the lovable mogwaiis and their not-so-lovable evolutions to toy shelves. The Gremlins line will begin with Gizmo and his Mogwaii brethren and will then expand to add the Gremlins. The figures have all new head sculpts and look absolutely phenomenal.

Harry Potter: The Harry Potter line continues with product to support the final two films. In addition to the figure line for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I, NECA is also importing some of TOMY’s Harry Potter product from the U.K. Most notable are the infrared “Dueling Wands”, which basically amount to the Harry Potter version of Laser Tag.

Hunger Games: For now, NECA only has generic tie-in product available, but expect to hear a lot more about this license next year, as the movie is prepped for release.

Music Stars: NECA will be producing Iggy Pop and Iron Maiden figures this year.
