Toy Fair 2013 has officially begun! Our coverage begins with one of our favorite companies: Underground Toys.

Figures and More @ Toy Fair 2013: Underground Toys

Underground Toys is best known in America as the US distributor of the Doctor Who action figure range manufactured in the UK by Character Options. However, the are also becoming famous quickly for their high quality range of Star Wars and Ghostbusters licensed items, such as talking plush. The main focus for them this year, however, is definitely Doctor Who. This year being the 50th Anniversary year has made fans more rabid for merchandise than ever before.  The biggest news in the Doctor Who line this year is that the scale of the line is changing from 5″ to 3.75″. This change will likely mean a wider range of figures and playsets will be released. Underground has, however, managed to secure permission to take over and continue the “Classic Who” line in the 5″ scale. So, what new items to celebrate the 50th Anniversary does Underground have to show us, and, more importantly, what can we show you?

Well, nothing really. (Yes, I know it’s a dirty trick, but if it’s good enough for Moffat, it’s good enough for me.)  I mean, I can tell you that there is a lot of cool stuff coming, and that it will be a great year for fans. However, most of it hasn’t received final approval yet, so we can’t talk about it or show it to you. Rest assured though that when info and images are available, we will bring them to you.
