Toy Fair 2018 – Mattel

Next up at Toy Fair is another of the biggest toy companies in the world, Mattel. In addition to being the company behind Barbie and Hot Wheels, Mattel also holds some of the biggest toy licenses in the world, such as WWE, DC Comics and, new this year, Jurassic World. As in year’s past, Mattel held a Collector’s Night Event to show off some of the latest products from these iconic brands.

Highlights include Star Wars, Marvel and Disney themed Hot Wheels cars, new WWE Elite and Basic figures, box sets, including an amazing Kurt Angle “Milkomania” set, as well as a series of Classic Superstars that will make the iconic Heartbreak Hotel interview set, and, something we haven’t seen in a long time, a SmackDown Live Main Event Ring, which will come with Jinder Mahal, the extraordinary Clayface build-a-figure and the awesome new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom line.

However, that wasn’t all there was to see from Mattel. As in year’s past, Mattel had a second “Blogger Breakfast” Event, which included access to the larger Mattel showrooom. We were also able to attend this event, and there were some surprises on display. Chief among them is a brand new 6” Batman line called Knight Missions, based on the Rebirth comic look. Also on display was a series of new role play sets for WWE, in addition to new Superstar dolls, including Asuka, and an amazing and enormous Cars 3 “Mack” vehicle, the trailer for which unfolds into a full size race track.
