Our coverage of Hasbro’s Toy Fair offerings continues with segment three of their Marvel line: Super Hero Squad.

TOY FAIR 2010: HASBRO: MARVEL- SUPER HERO SQUAD

Super Hero Squad has an enormous amount of momentum coming out of 2009. The toys are selling extremely well and the accompanying animated series has enjoyed fantastic ratings and critical acclaim. Now, with Season two of the series on the way, it falls to Hasbro to keep the toy line momentum going. Let’s see what they have in store

Super Hero Squad: The extraordinarily popular Marvel “kiddie” line continues in 2010. 15 new 2-packs will be introduced in 2010. Packs being introduced in 2010 include: Iron Man & War Machine, Spider-Man & Moon Knight, Captain America & Motorcycle, Hulk & Nova, Wolverine & Silver Samurai, Spider-Man & Vulture, Iron Man & Spider-Woman, Iron Man & MODOK, Wolverine & Spiral, Thor & Abomination, Spider-Man & Scarlet Witch and Reptile & Dr. Doom. These 2-packs will begin appearing in stores in Spring 2010 and retail for $6.99 each.

There are several vehicles that are slated to be released this year. Each vehicle comes with 1 figure. The lineup includes: Claw Cruiser (with Woverine) and  Spider Splasher (with Spider-Man). Also, thre are two “Battle Vehicles” slated for release. These will come with two figures. The lineup includes: Quinjet (with Iron Fist and Spider-Man) and Hover Car (with Iron Man and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson version)).

Also coming this year are a series of mini-playsets that will each come with two figures. The lineu[ is set to include: Super Hero City (with Spider-Man & Iron Man), Danger Room (with Wolverine & Sabretooth) and Battle for Doom’s Castle (with Iron Man & Dr. Doom).

Finally, all heroes need a home base to operate from, so Hasbro is introducing the Super Hero Headquarters, though any self-respecting Marvel fan recognizes it immediately as the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. It features lights, sounds, shooting discs and a conversion feature. It comes with an Iron Man figure and a jetboard accessory. It will be available in Fall 2010 and will retail for $34.99
