Toy Fair 2020: Jazwares

Ok, I’m not gonna lie. This was one of, if not THE most anticipated appointment at Toy Fair this year. Why?, you ask. Jazwares made an acquisition in the Summer of last year that, in my personal opinion, is the definition of game changer. Jazwares acquired Wicked Cool Toys, and, by doing so, it acquired all of the toymaking experience of Jeremy Padawer. And the addition of that experience is already paying dividends, as Jazwares has now added Halo, Micro Machines and Pokemon to their portfolio and they have just announced the signing of a license for AEW, All Elite Wrestling. That’s right everyone, Jeremy is doing wrestling figures again, and if anyone remembers the WWF/E line at Jakks Pacific, you have a pretty good idea of what we are in for, and I can’t wait.

The first products shown for the AEW line are absolutely astonishing. The advancements in facial scan technology bring these figures a realism never before thought possible. The Halo line is also an incredible tribute to the source material. Micro Machines is also back this year, and there is a robust line up of cars and playsets announcing the return of this beloved property. Pokemon continues its momentum with new plush and plastic figures and playsets. Fortnite also continues its dominance on screens and in toy aisles, with awesome new figures and multi-packs and a stunning new Deluxe Battle Bus, and Roblox is going to the dogs, and cats and other animals with the launch of the Pet Shop theme.

Jazwares held a Collector Briefing at Toy Fair to re-introduce themselves to everyone and it was a great time. It’s great to see this kind of welcome mat rolled out for the fan community and I look forward to working with Greg and the rest of the great people at Jazwares in the future

The pictures you are about to see were taken at our initial Jazwares appointment and at the Collector Briefing they held later in the fair. All of these pictures were taken by Nate Allen.
