So, this may have been the weirdest part of Toy Fair for me, because for the first time since I can remember, I did not have to get up at 6:00 AM to tour LEGO. Instead, I had a private appointment to see the booth, and it was great. Unfortunately, I don’t have that much to show you that you haven’t already seen, since LEGO is continuing a policy that began a couple of years ago, where the don’t show any of the Summer or Fall product at Toy Fair.
Now, that isn’t to say that there wasn’t ANYTHING new at LEGO. There were still a few surprises. We got our first look at the incredibly whimsical new line based on the upcoming Minions: The Rise of Gru film. But, the “shiny new item” spotlight was focused firmly on the two new Star Wars items revealed at Toy Fair, based on The Mandalorian and featuring the breakout character “The Child.” There will be a Brickhedz Two Pack featuring the Mandalorian and the Child, as well as a stunning Razor’s Crest building set, which will be an Amazon/LEGO Store exclusive.
Here are all of the pretty pics from LEGO. The Razor’s Crest is at the very end of the gallery.
