Toy Fair 2019 – Mezco

One:12 Collective

Mezco’s groundbreaking collectible articulated action figure line continues with a new slate of your favorite heroes from Marvel, DC and other iconic pop culture properties.

New figures shown at Toy Fair include:!

  • 1989 Batman Movie Batman- Michael Keaton likeness (truly phenomenal sculpt!). Mezco has promised, staying true to the source material, that the head of the figure WILL NOT TURN!
  • Wonder Woman
  • Captain Marvel (again a STUNNING head sculpt of Brie Larson)
  • Black Bolt and Lockjaw
  • The Warriors box set
  • Pennywise (IT 2017)
  • Hellboy (2019 Movie)
  • Male Zombie (They Live!)

Living Dead Dolls

One of Mezco’s most well known lines shows no signs of slowing, instead further expanding its licensed offerings to include some of the most popular horror movies both past and present.

New products shown at Toy Fair include:

  • The Shining – Jack Torrance
  •  The Shining – The Twins (WITH SOUND!)
  • The Curse of La Llorona
  • Pennywise (IT – 1990)
  • Pennywise (IT – 2017)
  • Sabrina (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina)
  • Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th Part 2)
  • Catwoman (DCU)
  • Harley Quinn (DCU)
  • Owl Man

Five Points

A surprise Toy Fair reveal, this is a brand new line of figures. Guess how many points of articulation each figure has? If you said five, good for you, you’ve been paying attention.

The real draw with these figures, besides the great sculpts, are the properties that have been chosen so far.

Here are the properties and figures shown at Toy Fair:

  • The Six Million Dollar Man
  • Birdman
  • Space Ghost
  • Scooby Doo (ALL 5 members of the “Scooby Gang”, plus some of the villains that would have gotten away with it if it weren’t for those “meddling kids.”)
  • The Warriors
  • The Addams Family

I personally LOVE these figures, and I really hope they can expand this line to include some of their other licenses. I guess only time will tell though.

Mezco Designer Series (MDS)

This line has always intrigued me, caught in the middle between the One:12 Collective and Living Dead Dolls, straddling both worlds, if you will.

Smaller in scale than the One:12 figures, but with more articulation than Five Points, with the exaggerated sculpts reminiscent of the Living Dead Dolls, these figures really epitomize what Mezco is all about. This is also another line that Mezco uses to leverage their licensed properties.

Mezco had some great new figures in this line. My personal favorite is the 1966 Adam West Batman. This figure will come in several different scales. In addition, a wonderful 1989 Batman figure, with another amazing Michael Keaton license was shown. Other figures shown at Toy Fair included:

  • Pennywise (IT -2017)
  • The Nun
  • Chucky
  • Michael Myers
  • The Curse of La Llorona

In addition, to the figures and lines described above, Mezco also showed some new horror Mez-itz, and additions to their Burst-A-Box line of horror themed Jack-in-a-Box and some beautiful new Puzzle Blox, including some DC ones with some awesome flashback comic art on them. Finally, Mezco was again displaying one of the most impressive things I have ever seen, their MASSIVE King Kong figure.

That does it for Mezco. My thanks to Mike Drake, Damien Gomez and Mez, who was kind enough to say hi to me despite “not actually being there”, for their hospitality.
